Join us at Mayo River State Park's Family Fishing Day!

The Friends of Mayo River State Park will host this
fun-filled day with lots of activities for the whole family. On-site registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Mayo Mountain access, located at 500 Old Mayo Park Road in Mayodan.
There will be a fishing derby with prizes, and participants 17 years old and younger will compete in groups categorized by age. All children must be accompanied by an adult who will be in the park and supervising them at all times. Prizes will be awarded around 2:30 p.m.
There will also be a DIY workshop for kids.
This is also a license-exempt fishing day for adults. Bring your own bait or tackle, extra drinking water and snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Free hot dog, chips, and drinks are provided while they last.
