A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the Yadkin County Election Department in North Carolina on February 5, 2025. The request, made by Yadkin Valley News, sought comprehensive information about all candidates running in the upcoming spring election.
The specifics of the request included a detailed list of all candidates' names – first, middle, and last – along with the office they are running for and its jurisdiction. The party affiliation of each candidate was also requested.
In addition to these details, the FOIA request asked for all contact information available for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.
