Town of North Wilkesboro issued the following announcement on October 12.
(NORTH WILKESBORO, NC) The Wilkes Art Gallery sub-grants panel approved a grant award of $1,250 for the Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership's live music series on 10th Street. "Wilkes Art Gallery received numerous requests totaling $26,819 from Wilkes County Organizations this year. It was a very competitive process, and we're pleased the Partnership's program was funded," said Wilkes Art Gallery Director, Ashley Barton.
These grant funds are much appreciated and will support more music events downtown, where we'll featuring local talent and various genres, so there's a little something for everyone," said Crystal Keener, Partnership Director. The Partnership received a Grassroots grant in the past to help fund a mural project on 5th Street in 2020.
