Join us at Mayo River State Park on Saturday, June 11, 2022 for the 9th annual Family Fishing Day, presented by Friends of Mayo River State Park!
Family Fishing Day is fun-filled with lots of activities for the whole family. On-site registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Mayo Mountain Access, 500 Old Mayo Park Road, Mayodan NC 27027.
Fishing Derby with prizes in age-appropriate categories for participants 17 years and younger. All children must be accompanied by an adult who will be in the park and supervising them at all times. Prizes will be awarded around 2:30 pm.
The day is also a license-exempt fishing day for adults. Bring your own bait and tackle, extra drinking water and snacks, sunscreen and bug repellent. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks while they last. DIY workshop for kids.
