North Wilkes High School issued the following announcement on December 18.
Students in Mr. Lankford’s Foundations of Health Science class finished out the week in a medication simulation lab! Students were given six different patient scenarios, each with a specific medical need. These Vikings read and interpreted physicians orders for prescribed medications using their medical terminology skills. Next, they used medical math to calculate the correct medication dose for their patients weight, and then counted and filled the prescription! Lastly, their partner double checked their math to make sure we kept our patients safe. Awesome job, Vikings!
