On Sunday, March 16, former Forbush High School standout Gavin Maines’ current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 9-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Eastern Illinois Panthers.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Panthers this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Presbyterian Blue Hose.
