Colby B. has been chosen as the October Career & College Promise West Wilkes High School Student of the Month. After spring semester, he will have completed 31 college credits (approximately one year of college!!!). He has accomplished this by taking WCC and AP coursework in high school. Colby has worked with his career coach on his academic plan and wants to attend Western Carolina University to major in Computer Science in the Fall. He has maintained a stellar GPA and is committed to attending the media center to complete his coursework. He is also active in sports and clubs at WWHS including tennis, the library club, beta club, and securing the future cryptology program. We are so proud of Colby B. and all of his accomplishments. Students of the month receive a certificate and some goodies.
