North Carolina State Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on April 9.
Our Natural Resources Team is hiring for our seasonal fire crew!
Prescribed Fire Crew Technician
Pay rate: $17/hr
Work Period: April-December, 2022
Work includes fire operations, restoration, maintenance and management at sites statewide. Frequent travel is requires, including overnights. Work may exceed 40 hours/week. Position is based at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park; housing is provided but not required.
Candidates must qualify as Fire Fighter Type 2. Work requires heavy lifting, operating heavy machinery, and physical exertion outdoor in all weather conditions.
