Description of Collection System or Treatment Process:
No less than 40 miles of sewer outfall, trunk, and lateral lines with 1.6 miles of force main. Pipe sizes
range from 24", 21", 18", 15", 12", 10", 8", 6" & 4". The pipe materials include corrugated metal, VCP,
Ductile Iron, PVC, and HOPE. The collection system contains 5 Lift Stations. The population served by the
collection system is about 3,100 residents.

Text Summary of System Performance for calendar year 2021 The system has performed very well in
the past 12 months. There have been two violations for the year of 2019. A continuous effort of
preventive maintenance by the Town enables this system perform at a high level.
List by month any violation of permit conditions or other environmental regulations. Monthly lists
should include discussion of any environmental impacts and corrective measures taken tdaddress
violations
We have had two incidents for the year of 2021.
First occurrence was on 2-16-21 at SMH # 586. There was no excessive environmental impact. Basic
cleanup was performed. Approx. gallons lost was 200-300 gallons. (non reportable)
Second occurrence was on 12-27-21 at SMH # 525. There was no excessive environmental impact. Basic
cleanup was performed. Approx. gallons lost was 200 gallons. (non reportable)
3 Notjficatjon
State how this report had been made available to users of customers of the system and how those
users have been notified of its availability.
Copies of this report may be obtained at the Public Works Dept . located at 1302 N. Collegiate Dr.
Wilkesboro, NC 28697. Notice will also be posted on the Town's website.
