Surry Early College High recently issued the following announcement.
Pilot Mountain, NC - Young Door Company, a new door manufacturing company, will open an interior door manufacturing plant in Pilot Mountain, NC, in January 2022. The company will occupy approximately 45,000 sq/ft of manufacturing space at 523 South Stephens Street in Pilot Mountain; they will share the building with the current tenant, SPX. The company plans to create approximately 25-40 jobs over a period of two years and invest over $3,000,000 in machinery and equipment.
Young Door was started by Mark Stukenborg and Tom Brown in April of 2021. They have over 60 years of interior door and millwork manufacturing experience and are excited about this new opportunity to run their own facility in Pilot Mountain. They will produce interior doors that will be sold at home improvement stores and other retailers where millwork is sold. They plan to start operations in January of 2022 and grow from there.
