Surry Community College issued the following announcement on December 15.
Surry Community College will hold a Nursing Pinning Ceremony to honor and celebrate the achievements of their Practical Nursing students on Wednesday, December 15, at 7:00 p.m. A live stream of the ceremony will be available at this time.
The Practical Nursing graduates will receive their pins and diplomas during the ceremony. These students entered the nursing program in January and have worked diligently in the class and lab settings to gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide hands on nursing care to their patients. Additionally, these graduates have gained clinical experience in the hospital and other healthcare settings each semester to ensure they have received the essential experience needed to pass their licensure exam and enter the nursing workplace as safe and competent novice nurses. These students will be eligible to sit for the national examination leading to licensure as a practical nurse.

May hope and comfort be present in every word I say. Grant me the strength, grant me peace, and courage from above so each life I touch, Father, may know and feel Your love.
