Piedmont Triad Regional Council issued the following announcement on October 26.
National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) is celebrated each November to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers. The national observance, in collaboration with the Administration for Community Living, is spearheaded by the Caregiver Action Network. CAN is a nonprofit that provides free education, peer support, and resources to family caregivers.
Family caregivers play may other roles, and have many other interests, in addition to their caregiving responsibilities. #CaregiverAnd encourages family caregivers to celebrate the passions and interests that enrich their lives.
