North Carolina Community Colleges issued the following announcement on July 30.
RALEIGH - The State Board of Proprietary Schools will hold a virtual meeting August 6.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The meeting is open to the public, but some portions may be conducted in closed session, pursuant to state law.
The meeting will be livestreamed on the NC Community College System Office YouTube channel.
Proprietary schools are for-profit businesses that provide vocational education and training. Under Article 8, Chapter 115D of the North Carolina General Statutes, the State Board of Community Colleges, acting by and through the State Board of Proprietary Schools, licenses proprietary schools in North Carolina.
