On Sunday, March 2, former Forbush High School standout Gavin Maines’ current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 12-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rider Broncs.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their fourth matchup against the Broncs this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Fluor Field against Michigan State Spartans.
