Low-Income Energy Assistance Program reopens for applications on December 10

The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) will begin accepting applications again on Wednesday, December 10. The program is funded by the federal government and offers a one-time payment to help eligible households pay their heating bills.

A statement from local officials said, “We’re excited to share some news about the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). The program will be reopening on Wednesday, December 10th, and we appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you for your patience, and take care!”

LIEAP is intended to assist low-income families with energy costs during colder months.
