Hugh Chatham Health in Elkin, North Carolina, has been awarded a 5-star rating for cleanliness by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This recognition places the hospital among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide in terms of cleanliness.
The CMS rating is based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. The HCAHPS survey is a national tool that gathers patient feedback to allow objective comparisons between hospitals, encourage improvements in quality of care, and increase accountability through public reporting.
